Some faces i just love to make up!
Lauren is one of them.When i first met Lauren at her trial i was very excited to so called ‘get my hands on her’ and make her up. Its nice to get excited about makeup after doing it for decades! Lauren has the most beautiful face and a lovely soul. Her wedding dress has to be one of the most beautiful i have ever seen and i see alot of frocks!
Lauren wanted a super natural look and i attached some individual lashes on the outer corners of her eyes to play them up. Her skin is amazing and there is no way you would want anything to heavy on it. Besides i love a natural base and a freh glowy look…its my fave look for bridal.You cant go wrong with it..best of all it wont date.Its like classic vintage movie star makeup…its still looks current.

Bella from BellaPhotoart was Laurens Photographer and she got some beautiful images with fabulous natural lighting.
To acheive a natural look which is still enough for photos can be tricky to master for some makeup artists.Some dont do quite enough ( the trick is to know exactly where you need that defenition) it can be a very fine line or they do way too much.

Bridal Bookings with ‘melli’
I get alot of Booking Enquiries and requests for quotes…and i mean alot.. I do my best to get back to everyone with a quote but sometimes one may slip through the system.
I do get booked up very early as Bridal is not all i do. I also work within the TV and Film Industry working on national and international celebrities and also i have melli Cosmetics which is almost like another child to me.
With my workload i am taking on less bridal bookings and will be booking even a more selective number for 2011 due to melli Cosmetics commitments and TV/film projects. So its a case of geting in quick..a few months for 2011 are just about booked up already.
I also get asked about my pricing.I have worked as a Makeup Artist for the last few decades successfully in the most prestigious market ‘The Celebrity’ Market. Only a few select makeup artists make it into this Industry. I am there because my style of work is in demand. If you are after a ‘budget’ makeup artist then you are on the wrong site. In saying that an affordable way to book me is in store at Terrigal. If you are after Location then you are looking at POA.
I do have a team of girls i have trained who are avaliable on location at affordable rates for girls on a budget and if they are booked i always like to recommend other makeup artists to you.
What we are offering now is Friday Night Masterclassed for girls who want no fuss on their wedding days and who wish to do their own makeup. Well we can guide you through this in a 3 hour class. Kate is a beautiful soul and apart from being a beautiful person she is also a speech therapist for children. Meet Laura the latest addition to the melli team!
I first met Laura when she enrolled in my Bridal and Event Makeup Masterclass a year ago. She produced some stunning work and is now studying her diploma of makeup full time at 3 Arts Makeup College in Chippendale .
You can find Laura at 3 Arts Makeup College Monday to Thursday learning everything from Character Makeup to prosthetics to Accident Simulation makeup.
In Store at melli HQ at Terrigal you can find Laura on Fridays and every second Saturday
So pop in and say hi to Laura she is a great girl and you will love what she can do with your eyes!
Georgia’s Wedding Hollywood Style
Finally received the beautiful pics from Georgia’s Wedding Day. Georgia looked like a Movie star on her wedding day with understated soft beautiful makeup that bought out her natural beauty. Her dress was to die for and she had a really fun group of girls for bridesmaids. All the girls makeup bases were airbrushed on mainly due to the heat..it was a 40 degree day and the airbrush formula i use is waterproof.
Airbrushing does have an additional charge but you are guaranteed that it wont melt even on the hottest day!

I had the pleasure of looking after Tiffany for her wedding a few weeks ago.Cathy Crawley of www.beautifulmoments.com.au was Tiffany’s photographer and well and truly captured Tiffany’s day perfectly. Cathy specialises in natural light and creates the most beautiful images you can imagine.
Tiffany briefed me on a fresh natural look and i must admit this is my fave look for brides.It wont date when you look at your photos ten years down the track but it still looks current and fashionable right now without being a ‘safe boring natural look’.
Tiffany wore crush blush on the apples of her cheeks ,daiquiri lipgel (sold out..this is a hugely popular colour with brides).Individual lashes placed on the outer corner and just the right amount of soft definition on the outer corner of the eyes and not to forget my trademark soft warm socket using a various assortment of neutrals that make the eye sparkle and pop.
